Post Ramadan/Eid Reflections

Salaams mes freres and soeurs!!!

I got in Dubai on Sunday night so I pretty much hit the ground running. No jetlag, though. Probably because I drank some chamomile tea and slept through most of the flight. So I’ve been at work catching up. Can’t wait until the weekend though. Insha’Allah, I’m going to Abu Dhabi for an Arab film festival. Gotta get some cultcha, yk?

I will come back with some Ramadan and Eid reflections. I’ve been having plenty of issues because the internet company had the wrong information. Doh! Also, I was resolving some issues with my new laptop, which is an entry all by itself. So I can now write and process documents from home. Hopefully by the end of the week, I can blog and check emails from it. :-)

Don’t forget! You if haven’t done it already, fast six days (any six days) of the month of Shawwal and you will receive the reward of fasting for a whole year.

Glad you had a safe trip! What is your job in Dubai, by the way? I looked at some previous posts but didn’t find it.

Musical Chef: Oh, I’m a human resource manager stumbling my way through the big city. :-) Art will always be my thing but I gotta pay the bills, ya know? :-)

Safiyyah: I’m going Friday. But how logn is the drive? They say it’s 2 hours max. It’s hosted at the Emirates Hotel (sweet!) and the movies will be shown at the Marina and Abu Dhabi malls. I have to check with my friend because she lives in Al Ain so she goe to Abu Dhabi a lot. But here’ the website for more info. I’ll call you. http://www.meiff.com/page.aspx?id=overview :-)
