Salaam alaikum,
Many Americans have asked the above question. Why do they hate us? “They” can be anyone from the Muslims, the Arabs, the French, the Canadians and sometimes a mixture of brown folks originating from a country they’ve never heard of.
In my humble opinion, this question is quite valid. I think any caring, logical human being should be concerned as to why hatred and animosity is directed their way. This question is more important when the questioner feels that the hatred and animosity are unwarranted and undeserved. But how far are those questioners willing to go to get at the heart of the matter? What time will they sacrifice to studying different world cultures? What soul searching and self reflection will come about as a result of asking this deep philosophical question? As a humble (snicker) Muslim American and freedom-loving blogger, I would like to help my fellow countrymen and women figure out the answer to this question.
So, I created a new category called Why They Hate Us. This category is for the folks who wanna know why the Muslims, and pretty much everybody else, are so plum angry with us Americans. It will provide articles, television clips, statistics, factoids and little funny stories to give a possible explanation as to why people, from France to Afghanistan, from Australia to Brazil, from Mexico to Morocco, seem to hate our guts.
I can promise you this…the answers provided will have nothing to do with hating our freedom.

I wonder if there is room for another category: “Why They Hate Us — The Muslim Edition” whereby we honestly lay out and explore why so many people in the world feel they have reason to despise us.

Sure, there is.
Oh, there’s so many angles to look at. ::tapping hand::: Of course the hijab and why they feel the need to remove it from all public spheres would be a place to start. But I would like to look at the angle of those who are scared of our sexual prowess and our need to breed.
