Salaam alaikum,

Remember when I said that I won’t babysit anyone’s kids? Well, I should have been more precise. I WILL babysit babies. Yeah, I can’t say no to babies. Even when they are crying, they’re still so cute. It’s the 3 to 8 year olds that can be a handfull. But when you have a 6 month old, that’s a great age for babies, because you can play with them a little and they’re just getting a little more animated.

So, bring your babies! But call first! Here’s my friend Amani’s cutie patooty better known as Zakiyya. Who could say no to that face?

Aaaaaaaaw! :-)

I’ll babysit for friends now and then, but nobody is allowed to abuse the policy. Also, knowing I have a glock 17 and mossberg 88 in my house turns a lot of people off to wanting their kids there.

YES! She IS cute, isn’t she? She’s so adorable, masha’Alllah.

DA: You know, some male relatives of mine want to get me a gun. Any suggestions for a novice?

Broken Doors: I’ll try to come by, though my job has been keeping me from blogging.

Baraka, Gail, Em: She’s even cuter in person. :-)

Well, I would generally suggest starting with a revolver, an old school .38 maybe and working your way to a semi-auto. If budget and interest mean you’re only buying one gun and sticking with it, I’d reccomend a good 9mm, either a Takarov (which seem somewhat hard to find here in AZ), or a Glock 17 9mm (My weapon of choice, as well as my mother’s). The Desert Eagle .50 is also a good choice. Is this for home defense or to carry outside your home?

Either way, when you go to the range, I’d reccomend replacing classic hijab with, say, a turtleneck and western-style head covering. Going looking recognizably Muslim is just asking for a hassle. And maybe an FBI visit.

Masha’Allah, what a cute child! I am loving the idea of babysitting but they are very cautious about hiring young men…but I’d like to live childhood again and this is a good place. I also like toys :). You’re a lucky babysitter.

Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatulahi wa Barakatuhu,

This is the funniest comments section ever. You have people giving advise on gun purchases and talk of babysitting cute kids and young men who like to play with toys (I assume sindbad meant kids toys, not guns-hee hee) all in the same section. Too funny.

    Salaam alaikum,

Not really kids toys LOL. I mean, not all toys but there are some good games out there. I am afraid my last comment is going to affect my reputation nonetheless. I am more into bike-riding actually — really bikes :).
