My, my, my!

I don't know what to think.  Really, I don't but maybe this means that we are doing something right.  The first time I was attacked, it was by FreakRepublic.  Now, there's a big ole article about "extremist" Muslims including wittle ole me at FP mag.  I don't know if I should be flattered or what.

It's quite telling that rather than going after the people who are committing murder and funding war and terror throughout the world, they find their bravery in going after bloggers.  And after reading the article and commentary on both websites, it seems that one thing is clear.  According to them, America belongs solely to racist, white, Anglo-Saxon middle-upper class Protestants who nonchalantly forget those Biblical passages of love and mercy while they call for the explusion of the "brown people."  (Yeah, those peaceful Latino protests really have them upset)  When you see words like n****r and s**c and towelhead on their websites, you pretty much know where they're coming from.

I could address the blatant lies of that article, such as my NEVER attending an ISNA conference.  I guess they forgot the reasons why I couldn't go but you all know.  Too bad they couldn't pin that on us Muslims though I know they tried.  We're not as powerful as to control the weather.  La howla wa laa quwatta illa billah.

So readers, don't be surprised if the hate commenting increases.  Don't be surprised if strange people start leaving very, very….very stupid comments on my blog.  Better to come after me, students, scholars, mothers, and women than to look real terror in the eye and fight those who take innocent lives.

But praise be to God to be included in such righteous company!  What a beautiful way to start the month of Rabi' Awwal.  I saw a beautiful golden crescent in the horizon.  It was a deep warm golden smile against the black night sky and I said, "Alhamdulillah, it's the first day of Rabi' Awwal!" To be included with you guys is the ultimate compliment.

Go read Umm Zee's entry on the Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa salaam) and the entry on obedience.  It's iman vitamins!

p.s.  You know this means that I'm determinded to work harder for civil rights and the rights of Muslims in this country, right?! Right?!

I was surprised to see your name on there, too. You should definitely be more determined than ever. I don’t know what they hoped to gain by “calling out” bloggers like yourself and Umm Zaid. Did they think they’d break your heart and make you shut down your blog? :-? Crazy…

Geez sis. I am new to the blogging world and I don’t know who these people are but when I goggled them, although I couldn’t find their blog, I did find a lot of anti-freak republic writing. So, there is hope yet sis. The courageous and truthful do not rest! :-) Keep marching soldieress!

    As salaam alaykum,

Naaa, you’re not in the big leagues until you get a mention by Danny P. :0P These are small time bottomfeeding fearmongers trying to ride the wave of hate (or create it where it doesn’t exist) to make a career for themselves. Your latest hatemonger is really a scarred, scared child deep down in side (see Salika’s link)

Allah protect us from their malice and strengthen us in our resolve to live this deen.

Who your enemies are often says as much about you as who your friends are. You are on solid ground!

    Assalaamu alaikum,

I don’t even know who these people are, and I don’t want to know… but insha’llah they won’t make too much trouble for you.

Anyway – We were driving late yesterday afternoon and also noticed the crescent of the new moon. Subhanallah! It was beautiful.

    Asalam Aliakum,
You’re a tough one to go to FreakRepublic.com. I got banned for giving them some friendly advice. Whats wrong in suggesting an education, a treadmill and avoiding doritos?

Shoddy Joe Kaufman cuts my work out for me

Last week Joe Kaufman posted to FrontPageMag.com an article regarding a resolution passed by the Student Government at the University of South Florida which supported the dismissal of Sami al-Arian, recently acquitted on terrorist charges. The student …
